How to Start a Grand Masters Cycling Club

Hey Grand Masters Cyclists, (you’re a Grand Masters Cyclist if you are 60+ years of age) want to increase the fun factor of your cycling dramatically? Want to meet interesting new people to ride with? Start your own Grand Masters Cycling club.  It’s actually really easy, fast, and free using an app called Strava and a little imagination.

Here’s how to create your own Grand Masters Cycling club.

Step 1: Get a free Strava membership.  Click here if you don’t already have one.  

Step 2: Do a bike ride and post it on Strava.

Step 3: Start following people on Strava. The App will give you suggestions on who to follow. Make sure you give them kudos!

Step 4: Connect Strava with your Facebook account to invite your Facebook friends. 

Step 5: Follow back people who follow you on Strava. Once you get some followers, you’re ready to start your own Grand Masters Cycling Club on Strava.

Step 6: Now, you’re going to need a logo. Assuming you’re not a graphic designer, get a free trial from Canva to design your cycling club logo for FREE!

Step 7: Now that your club is set up, it’s time to invite your new Strava friends to join. See my Masters Cycling Club below.

Step 8: Create some Grand Masters Cycling Club rides and events and invite your members. Note:  It’s best to schedule rides that meet up on the same day/time every week to get a regular group to ride with your club. 

From there, you can take your new Grand Masters Cycling Club in any direction you want.
